The “Active Community” from the Institute Respublica asked\u00a0in citizens\u00a0what they were ready to put on the scales of Independence. The purpose of the action was to remind citizens of the value of their own freedom, active participation in the construction of their community and the country as a whole.<\/p>\n

The performance took place near the Main Post Office, during which representatives of the “Active Community” team “weighed” the independence of\u00a0Kievans\u00a0<\/span>– offered to put on the scales of only 5 values, equal to independence for each person.<\/p>\n In total more than 65 citizens participated in Kiev, in general in Ukraine about 2 thousand. After all, the action runs in parallel in 28 cities in different regions of our country. As a result, we found what values is equal to the independence for citizens and the guests of the city:<\/p>\n Peace – 40 mentions It is worth adding that values such as: money – put only three people on the scales, the apartment – one, power – four and no one weighed the car. Independently, people have added values – responsibility, power, sovereignty.<\/p>\n In Skadovsk, the most commonly used\u00a0 values Ukrainians had laid on the scales of independence: freedom, peace and justice. The Dniprians have distinguished among all the values – freedom, liberty, family, life. Top-5 in Kropyvnytskyi, which, according to the inhabitants, are equal to independence: peace, love, family, freedom and life, and in Zaporizhzhia – struggle, civic activity, and justice. The inhabitants of Drohobych often associate independence with such concepts as: justice, goodness, patriotysm, freedom, freedom of speech, order. At the same time, Uzhgorod put in – an active civil position, human freedom, happiness, justice, personal independence. Kids also take part in the action, they put hardship with values – family, patriotism, love.<\/p>\n “Only small steps, joint actions, we are building our country and protecting independence. This action reminded us of the values we have and the fact that you should be an active citizen, no matter where you are.
