On February 14, on St. Valentine\u2019s Day, All-Ukrainian Initiative \u201cI Love My Town For\u201d was held<\/strong>. Ukrainians wrote valentines with good wishes applying to their hometowns, shared their thoughts on what they would like to change. In addition, the purpose of the event initiated by the Institute \u201cRespublica\u201d was presenting to citizens an effective tool for communication between public and authorities, public consultations<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The event was held simultaneously in more than 20 cities<\/strong>, all over the country.<\/p>\n

People said a lot of kind words about their cities. For example, citizens of Uzhgorod<\/strong> noted that their city is beautiful because it has place for walking, wonderful architecture and planning, good cafes and friendly people. And their wishes concerned mostly the issues of improvement. People want Uzhhorod to be cleaner and lighter.<\/p>\n

Residents of Kamyanets-Podilskyi Khmelnytskyi region<\/strong> also wrote in valentines that they love their home \u201cfor old city\u201d, \u201cfor history\u201d, \u201cfor good people\u201d<\/em>, and wished it prosperity.<\/p>\n

\"5\"\u00a0In Horishni Plavni, Poltava region,<\/strong> among the confessions of love, were the following: \u201cI love the city, because it is mine, ours. This is my motherland. Here I was born, and my children were born\u201d, \u201cfor compactness\u201d, \u201cfor work places\u201d, \u201cfor beautiful girls\u201d<\/em>.<\/p>\n

When asked for what they would loved cities even more, people answered: \u201cFor free Wi-Fi in public places\u201d, \u201cI\u2019d like to see all roads in my city been asphalted on time!\u201d, \u201cFor effective fight against drug addiction\u201d, \u201cI want to see clean fountains, squares, and good-looking animals in the city\u201d, \u201cFor cleaner air\u201d<\/em>.<\/p>\n

The inhabitants of Dnipro<\/strong> said they love it \u201cfor patriotism\u201d, \u201cbecause my soul mate lives here\u201d, \u201cfor positivity and great opportunities\u201d<\/em>. And they wished the city developing and prosperity, good and peace, greening in the near future, honest and responsible authorities.<\/p>\n

This is just a portion of what people said about their cities.<\/p>\n

Activists in Skadovsk, Kherson region,<\/strong> shot a video about how the event in their city was held.<\/p>\n
