In February, the local residents mostly discussed amendments to Ukrainian Constitution. On February 4, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine preliminary approved the draft law No. 1017 on reduction the number of people\u2019s deputies from 450 to 300. Fluency in the state language for MP candidates and proportional electoral system is planned to be established by the constitution.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-13485\" src=\"https:\/\/inrespublica.org.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/infogodyna-poltava.jpg\" alt=\"\u0456\u043d\u0444\u043e\u0433\u043e\u0434\u0438\u043d\u0430 \u043f\u043e\u043b\u0442\u0430\u0432\u0430\" width=\"960\" height=\"465\" srcset=\"https:\/\/inrespublica.org.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/infogodyna-poltava.jpg 960w, https:\/\/inrespublica.org.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/infogodyna-poltava-300x145.jpg 300w, https:\/\/inrespublica.org.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/infogodyna-poltava-768x372.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 960px) 100vw, 960px\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>The participants of the information hour in Poltava.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">On February 29, Lilia Harbuziuk, Active Community regional team in Poltava asked local residents about their attitudes to the initiative. Most information hour participants supported the reduction of people\u2019s deputies. It is worth mentioning that Ukrainians in all cities agree to the reduction of MPs, but in most cases they cannot suggest the number of deputies to be established by the Constitution, the current number of deputies and why they decided to reduce the number of deputies to 300 people. In most cases, information hours participants say that deputies do nothing so no harm will be made. However, there were some people who suggested to elect good people to be deputies, instead of the reduction of their number.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Note<\/strong>. The all-Ukrainian initiative \u201cActive Community\u201d \u2013 is an association of people and social movements for self-organization and participation in solving local problems.
