Residents of Khmelnitskyi decide whether they need additional attractions in T. Shevchenko Park.<\/h5>\n

The park named after Taras Shevchenko is one of the favorite places of recreation for residents of Khmelnytskyi, especially for young people and children. The residents of the\u00a0city are attracted by the metal figures of Mykola Mazur, as well as fountains and bright flowerbeds. The park is always crowded and you can hear the laughter of children here.<\/p>\n

Last year, the renovation of the playground in the park began. Modern children’s attractions\u00a0had already been established here. Also, modern equipment for children with disabilities was installed – a swing and two roundabouts. There was no such a thing in Khmelnytsky\u0456 before.<\/p>\n

The playground renovation is almost complete and many children are already enjoying it. Representatives of the Khmelnytskyi City Council wondered if there were enough attractions, whether there was a need for additional paid entertainment for children?<\/p>\n

– Public consultation is an effective and at the same time an easy way for community decision-making. And the decision about the landscaping are extremely topical to the citizens, as they directly relate to comfortable living in the city. It is great when the authorities consult with citizens and ask their opinion. Therefore, we invite the residents of Khmelnitsky\u0456 to join in the discussion and help to make decisions about the attractions in T. Shevchenko \u0420ark, – says Yulia Mazur, regional coordinator of \u0410\u0406 “Active Community” in Khmelnitsky\u0456.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Residents of the city should answer the question: “Do you need additional paid attractions in the T. Shevchenko Park?”.<\/p>\n

There are only two answer options:<\/p>\n

1.) Yes;
\n2.) No.<\/p>\n

Public consultation on this issue will continue until April 1st, 2020.<\/strong><\/p>\n

After\u00a0the discussion, the results of the public consultation will be announced during a press conference and will\u00a0become as a basis for deciding on the further development of T. Shevchenko Park.<\/p>\n

The team of the Institute \u201cRespublica\u201d is sincerely pleased that public consultations are becoming increasingly popular, both at the state and local levels. In October 2019, public consultations held in the regions crossed the 50 mark! Local authorities in different cities of Ukraine continue to use this tool to make the best decisions.<\/p>\n
