\"GROMADA\"<\/p>\n

Active Community <\/em>\u00a0is a large block of\u00a0Institute Republic’s\u00a0activities.<\/p>\n

The initiative aims to involve citizens into local decision-making and discussion of the\u00a0reform process in Ukraine.\u00a0The idea of the initiative is\u00a0to give citizens of Ukraine knowledge and skills to address urgent needs of their localities.<\/p>\n

The Project is implemented in 22\u00a0cities and 2 villages of Ukraine.<\/strong><\/p>\n

At present, the All-Ukrainian initiative is active in 32 settlements of Ukraine.<\/p>\n

Results for 2017:<\/span><\/h5>\n

  1. The “Active Community” coordinators have attracted more than 59,510 citizens to participate in projects (research, surveys, events).<\/li>\n
  2. The team conducted 359 events involving 10,504 people, including 9900 citizens, 344 officials, and 194 members.<\/li>\n
  3. Signed 152 memorandums of cooperation with educational institutions, libraries, various parties, NGOs and local authorities.<\/li>\n
  4. During the year 340 meetings were held with representatives of local self-government bodies and local authorities.<\/li>\n
  5. The 7131 signatures were collected under a petition for the inevitability of punishment for violating an electoral law.<\/li>\n
  6. In total, there are 643 references in the regional and national mass media, which encompassed at least 665 596 citizens (excluding television and radio broadcasts, news releases).<\/li>\n
  7. 27 activists of the Institute Respublica and “Active Community” passed the course and received the certification of a trainer from the National Democratic Institute.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Each of 32\u00a0communities<\/strong> has already had their success stories. The issues to solve were defined by community members: beautification & gardening, the\u00a0creation of sports and playgrounds, installation of street lighting, the\u00a0organization of bike lanes & parking lots.<\/p>\n

    Citizens became more familiar with human rights, national legislation, and local issues in such a way.<\/p>\n
