“We aim to increase the involvement of citizens in decision-making at the local level and participation in the reform process in Ukraine”<\/span><\/strong><\/h6>\n

 <\/p>\n

\"\u0433\u0440\u043e\u043c\u0430\u0434\u0430-\u0430\u043a\u0442\u0438\u0432\u043d\u0430\"“Active Community”<\/strong> is a large block of Institutes Respublica activities.<\/p>\n

Initiative aims to involve citizens into local decision-making and discussion on\u00a0reforms process in Ukraine.\u00a0The idea of the initiative is\u00a0to give the citizens of Ukraine the knowledge and skills to address the urgent needs of their localities<\/p>\n

The Project is implemented in 15 cities and \u00a02 villages of Ukraine.<\/p>\n

Each of 15 communities have already have 2-3 success stories. The issues to solve were defined by community members: beautification & gardening, creation of sports and playgrounds, installation of street lighting, organization of bike lanes & parking lots.<\/p>\n

In such a way citizens became more familiar with human rights, national legislation and local issues.<\/p>\n

“We always focus our attention on working with people not previously involved in community organizations, their public education, involving into dialogue with the authorities and civil society”<\/span><\/strong><\/h6>\n

From April to December 2015 Initiatives coordinators have achieved the following results:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. They\u00a0spent hundreds of steps to resolve local problems and attracted 15,567 residents to participate in this process.<\/li>\n
  2. They formed a group of local activists, numbering about 1,000 persons in Ukraine;<\/li>\n
  3. They\u00a0spent hundreds of meetings (291 out of 326 NGOs and local authorities) and established cooperation with local NGOs and local authorities;<\/li>\n
  4. They spent hundreds of events (208) to educate citizens on\u00a0protecting their rights and nuances of active reforms in Ukraine;<\/li>\n
  5. They have distributed tens of thousands of educational materials and newspapers Our news<\/em>\u00a0among citizens;<\/li>\n
  6. They participated in national companies.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    The initiative is continuing its activities and has formed strategic plans by 2020.<\/strong><\/p>\n
