In Sumy there was a presentation of a public consultation using the tool “Your Opinion”, as well as a memorandum on cooperation between Sumy City Council and the Institute Respublica was signed.

The event was held with the participation of city mayor Oleksandr Lysenko, director of the Department of Communications and Information Policy of Sumy City Council Antonina Kochan and regional coordinator of the All-Ukrainian initiative “Active Community” of Sumy Region Mykhailo Gorkusha.

Alexander Lysenko noted that the most important task is to make the community active and effective, as a result of this, a quick solution to the problems of the city is possible. Therefore, the mayor believes that this project is very useful for citizens.

“When the problem is heard, it is worked out together, and it is solved with people. But there are city-wide problems. This project is an opportunity for people to express their opinions on various issues that are currently being addressed by city authorities. This is an opportunity by which we will also be able to hear what people want on specific issues that exist today, and on concrete projects that are being implemented today, or are being planned or will be initiated by residents, “says Alexander Lysenko.

After signing a memorandum of cooperation, the coordinator Mykhailo Gorkusha invited the attendees to choose one of the options for an active public consultation, namely: “Where do you have another Wi-Fi access point for free Internet?“. Participants of the press conference expressed their thoughts online (via the link https://vdmk.org/4106) and via SMS (message “4106 N” to +380931770035, where N – the number of the selected answer option).
