Online information hours – talk about the most important things briefly and clearly.

Due to quarantine the team of the Institute “Respublica” is conducting all events in an online format. The first activity that the regional coordinators of AI “Active Community” started to conduct online – it is information hours. Prior to the start of the quarantine, each regional coordinator conducted them twice a week and talked to Ukrainians about the most important processes, which are held in our country. Now the coordinators do it via the Facebook network.

AI “Active Community” (Ivano-Frankivsk).

Oleg Sernyak, the regional coordinator of AI “Active Community” in the city of Ivano-Frankivsk, has told what to do during quarantine and how not to be bored, but to spend this time with maximum benefit. After watching the video you will learn:

  • how to keep in touch with your target audience during quarantine;
  • how to write a request for public information;
  • how to prepare grant applications for current projects;
  • how to establish or improve communication with MPs, especially at the local level.

AI “Active Community” (Chernivtsi).

Equally useful and interesting was the information hour spent by Inna Pashanyuk, the regional coordinator of the AI “Active Community” in Chernivtsi. The main message of the video: an information hygiene is no less important than a personal hygiene. Therefore, you need to check and analyze all the information that is distributed on the Internet, especially on social networks. It is very important to be able to distinguish true information from fakes. The following video discusses how to distinguish fake news from real events.

AI “Active Community” (Rivne).

The coronavirus has forced most Ukrainians to self-isolate and change the usual rhythm of life. However, the team of the Institute “Respublica” suggests not forgetting about the processes that are happening in our country and remain important in any situation. One such process is the amendments to the Constitution of Ukraine, which were initiated by the President of Ukraine last summer. Natalia Golovach – regional coordinator of AI “Active Community” in Rivne talks about changes related to the reduction of the number of MPs.

Note. Mission of the AI “Active Community” : to achieve prosperity through democratic development of Ukrainian communities. Aim for 2025: activate and involvement at least 1% of citizens in decision-making and reform in Ukraine on a systematic basis for well-being in Ukrainian communities. The initiative was created within the activity of the Institute “Respublica”. We work to increase the conscious activity of citizens.
